Chocolate Peanut Butter Rice Krispy Treats

Was craving sweets and I've been addicted to the vegan rice krispy treats at Bakeshop Bakery in Arlington, VA, however they don't make it often. Therefore, I took it upon myself to look up a recipe and make it.

I found a great, easy recipe from the blog, 'Yeah, that vegan shit.'

You'll need the following:

-6 Cups: Rice Crispy Cereal
-1 Cup: Brown Rice Syrup
-2 Cups: Vegan Chocolate Chips
-1 Cup: Sugar
-1 Cup: Peanut Butter

1. Mix the peanut butter and brown rice syrup over medium heat until it bubbles.

2. In another bowl, mix the rice cereal and chocolate chips.

3. Pour the pb and brown rice syrup mix into the bowl containing the rice cereal and chocolate chips and evenly distribute.

NOTE: Don't let the liquidy mix sit too long before mixing into the cereal mix. While taking pics, it cooled some and hardened and so was a bit difficult to mix and evenly distribute.

4. Put everything into a square baking ban (or whatever pan you have available -- I had a circular one). Press firmly and cut.

These came out delicious! I dare you to try it!

My silly housemate (also the photographer of the pictures included on this blog post).

RelationBlip

Hi All!

This post has nothing to do with veganism so I apologize for that. However, this does have to do with another one of my sites (and passions). Of course animal rights is (and always will be) a number one priority for me. Another passion/hobby includes relationship topics. I absolutely love discussing and analyzing relationships, the dynamics of it, issues that come up, ways in dealing with those issues, healthy and dysfunctional patterns, etc. Just everything surrounding it! And it doesn't just have to be a male/female relationship but any sort of relationship. I believe that sometimes we become so consumed by issues that arise in our relationships that sometimes it's hard to take a step back and think clearly and without a lot of bias. There are times when all of us just need a reality check! I know I've certainly been delusional about things and I believe myself to be a pretty intelligent person (I think).

Obviously with any sort of relationship, comes problems/disagreements/conflicts. RelationBlip is a site designed for you to state your 'Blip'. Readers then vote on if you are right, wrong, or should just chill. There is also an option for leaving comments. It just launched on November 2 so there might be a few kinks. We are fixing those as we come across them.

For more details on how the site works, please read the About section of the site.

My hope is that this site will gain popularity and 'RelationBlip' will become a regular forum for people seeking advice and/or a reality check :)
